Why “Look Inside?”

“Look Inside” was born at a Starbucks on Gran Vía in Madrid, where my best friend and I, fresh at eighteen, navigated city life and unknowingly prepared for living abroad. It took shape in the kitchen of our old apartment in Milan, where we endlessly dissected our lives (if those walls could talk!). It matured in my room in Chile overlooking the Pacific Ocean, where I listened to the waves and tried to make sense of being alone on the other side of the world. But it was in Copenhagen that “Look Inside” truly came to life, connecting all the dots and bringing my reflections from diaries and notes into the open.

The places you go, the things you do, and the people you meet are just that - until you "look inside" and understand their meaning to you.

“Look Inside” is about the positive outlook that guides my life, how I turned everything I used to hate into things I love. All these experiences, all this love, and thus this blog, would not exist if it were not for the people who, without knowing, have inspired it all - my family and the people I love all over the world, who I hope are reading this more than anyone else. These multifaceted aspects of my life and reflections could not exist without them.

“Look Inside” comes directly from the ultimate thing that always gets me through everything and makes me choose kindness, love, and forgiveness over it all - my heart.

That’s what “Look Inside” is all about. As spontaneous and unhinged as I am, it’s hard for me to predict where this is headed, but as long as I can share my journey and insights with you, I know it will be worthwhile.

Lots of love,
Elena
